Welcoming Alison Taylor as Our New CEO!
We are delighted to announce that Alison Taylor has joined the PKD Charity as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Alison brings over 22 years of leadership experience in health and research charities, including serving as CEO of the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation and Head of Services at Meningitis NOW.
She succeeds our much-loved former CEO, Tess Harris, who sadly passed away in March 2024. Tess led the PKD Charity with unwavering dedication and passion since 2012, and her impact on everyone whose lives she touched will be remembered forever.
Alison shared her thoughts on joining the charity:
“I’m privileged to join the PKD Charity team. Throughout my career, I have focused on leading small but mighty charities that put patients first. It’s an honour to follow in Tess’s footsteps and build on her incredible legacy. I look forward to working with the team, patients, clinicians, and partners to further develop the charity and improve the lives of those affected by PKD.”
Alan Greenberg, Chair of the Charity, added:
“We are excited about the future of the charity under Alison’s leadership. We are confident that her experience and vision will continue the vital work Tess and the PKD team have established, ensuring that we remain a leading source of information, support, and hope for the PKD community and beyond.”
