Join Psychologist, Louise Hankinson, and Psychotherapist, Rachael Williams, for this 90 minute online workshop.

Learning to live with a body which may not feel like our friend, and may not look how we would like it to look.  This workshop will focus on cultivating a compassionate relationship with ourselves.

Evidence suggests that learning to offer more kindness and compassion to ourselves, can reduce anxiety and depression, and improve our overall health and wellbeing.

Yet many of us find it hard to be kind to ourselves, and indeed we can have quite harsh inner critics, and this can leave us feeling low and lacking in confidence.  Whilst some people will be able to offer self-compassion naturally, others may need to learn it and practice it.  With this practice, it can become more habitual, allowing us to live more effectively with our minds, and with the inevitable struggles that life brings.

This workshop will introduce the idea of self-compassion, explain what it is and isn’t, help you to understand the barriers to it, explain a little bit of the science behind it, and give opportunities to practice it through experiential exercises.
