Got a question about your fundraising for PKD Charity? then you’ve come to the right place.

If you have a question that hasn't been answered below then please just get in touch by emailing or call 07715 664 687 and we will be happy to help.

How do I set up an online fundraising page?

You can set up a fundraising page for PKD Charity on JustGiving here:

Click on the ‘start fundraising’ button at the top of the page to create your own fundraising page. All of the money raised on JustGiving comes straight to us, so there is nothing you need to do.

Top tips for your fundraising page:
  • Personalise your page by explaining what you’re doing to raise money in aid of PKD Charity, and if you choose to, why – and add any photos/videos to promote your fundraising.
  • Share your page link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn pages along with any other social media profiles. Email or text the link to all your contacts too!
  • If you haven’t already done so, register your fundraising with us

Can I fundraise offline?

Of course. You can download sponsorship forms here. Once you have completed your fundraising, don't forget to post your sponsorship form to us so we can claim the gift aid on your sponsorship.

What fundraising resources can I order?

When you register your fundraising with us, you’ll be given the option to order resources such as t-shirts, running vests, collection boxes and information leaflets to support your fundraising.

If you require our merchandise for Sale or Return please email our Fundraising Manager  or call 07715 664687 to discuss.

We don’t charge for our resources because we want to help make your fundraising as successful as possible, but please do only select the resources that you really think you will need. If you would like to make a separate donation towards the cost of your resources, we really appreciate your kind support, and this can be done on your online donation page, or when you return your fundraising monies.

Can I use the PKD Charity logo?

If you’d like to use the PKD Charity logo as part of your fundraising for publicity or in any other way, email our Fundraising Manager: so we can support you with using our logo correctly.

Can I get more information about the work of PKD Charity to share with my friends, family and colleagues?

Of course you can! Not only are you raising vital funds for PKD Charity, you’re also helping to raise awareness of the important work that we are doing to support people affected by this condition. You can read more about PKD Charity here, you can also watch and share our video about Living with PKD or if you would like some leaflets about PKD Charity, you can download these from our website here.

Can I fundraise for you through my work?

Absolutely! If it’s a fundraiser with colleagues, register your event and take a look at our fundraising ideas for extra inspiration.

If your company would like to get involved in other ways, or you’d like to nominate us for a Charity of the Year partnership, email our Fundraising Manager at  or call 07715 664687 to discuss further. We'd love to hear from you.

Can you promote my event on social media?

We can promote individual or company fundraising events on our social media if you would like to feature on our blog. We are very happy to retweet your page on Twitter and share your Facebook and Instagram stories with our community.

Spreading the word far and wide about your fundraising is so much more successful when it comes from you! Don’t forget to use our hashtag #TeamPKD

Can someone from PKD Charity come to speak at my event?

We are a small team, and availability of staff and volunteers equipped to talk about PKD Charity can vary across the country. Please get in touch at least four weeks before your event to discuss this. If it’s not possible to have someone attend your event, we may be able to share a presentation about our work instead.

Email  or call 07715 664687 to discuss.

Can Gift Aid be claimed on the funds I raise?

If you’ve set up an online fundraising page, your donors will be automatically prompted to fill in the Gift Aid details on their individual donation.

If you choose to fundraise offline, using a sponsor form, if your donors or sponsors are UK taxpayers, don’t forget to ask them to Gift Aid their donations. Please encourage your sponsors to complete their full name and address on your sponsorship form as we need this information to successfully claim Gift Aid.  By adding Gift Aid, we can claim 25p for every £1 given. This means even more money goes towards reaching PKD Charity’s aims – and it doesn’t cost you or your supporters a penny.

Download the PKD Charity Gift Aid Declaration Form.

How will the money I raise be spent?

The valuable funds you raise will support the core charitable aims of PKD Charity. All funds will be spent where the need is greatest as we work to improve the lives of everyone affected by PKD, raise vital awareness about polycystic kidney disease, and give hope for the future to make PKD irrelevant and ultimately curable.

Further information about the work of PKD Charity can be found here.

Can I restrict my funding to a particular area of PKD Charity’s work?

Fundraising that is unrestricted gives us far greater flexibility. It ensures that your gifts are used when and where they are needed most to support anyone affected by PKD throughout the UK and fund vital research. Although it is sometimes possible to restrict your donations to a particular area of our work, this can limit the effectiveness of our planning. If you do feel strongly about restricting your funding, please email our Fundraising Manager  or call 07715 664687 to discuss further.
