About 70,000 adults and children in the UK may have Polycystic Kidney Disease or PKD - life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause renal (kidney) failure and affect other organs in the body.

We support those affected, their families and carers. We raise awareness and fund research.

PKD Connect gives anyone affected by Polycystic Kidney Disease the chance to chat, share moments of joy, and frustration in an informal, friendly meetup.

Everyone is welcome no matter what the issue, and whether you’re a social butterfly or more of a listener.
You don't need to prepare and there's no pressure to share anything at all - it's fine to come along and just be amongst people who understand!

Hosted by Gillian, Gillian has PKD and has received a kidney transplant.
This event is for anyone living in South Shields and the surrounding area, so you’ll have more than PKD in common! It’s free and easy to attend via Zoom.

Register in advance for this meeting:

(Afterwards, you'll receive an email containing information about how to join the meetup.)
