The Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity is piloting a one-year telephone befriending and peer support service in London, the North West of England and in Scotland, for people affected by PKD.

The PKD Charity telephone befriending pilots will enable us to determine the effectiveness of such a service and to learn what does and doesn’t work before committing to a national programme. The pilots are supported by grants from the Big Lottery Awards for All programme.

The service is for people living with, and affected by, all forms of polycystic kidney disease (PKD) - patients and their care-givers. We have roles for two types of volunteers.
